The Peterson family is thrilled and honoured to have been able to watch the historic occasion that is Barack Obama's Inauguration as the 44th President of the United States of America. To have "Hymn To Freedom" sung as one of the pieces done by the San Francisco Boys Chorus and the San Francisco Girls Chorus was an immense honour to Dr. Peterson's memory and legacy.

We would like to thank Harriette Hamilton for writing lyrics that bring a message of hope, strength, and peace to the world.

We would also like to thank Ian Robertson and Susan McMane for choosing to include this song in their repertoire for the program. We congratulate the members of the choruses for their outstanding performance, not only of "Hymn To Freedom", but of all their selections.

Dr. Peterson would have been so proud of this entire occasion, but especially of this performance, and we feel that his presence was strongly felt both in our hearts and in the music.

This was an absolutely historic day and this generation is fortunate to have a President that can bring change to not only the United States, but to the entire world.

We congratulate President Obama and wish him strength and Godspeed on the journey ahead.
